Jet-setters

Last weekend we zipped out to Connecticut for a quick weekend for this girl's missionary farewell talk.
Only Jordan's parents and Alex knew we were flying in so we surprised the rest of the kiddos Saturday morning. I'm a big fan of surprises (unless, as Jordan has come to find out, I'm the one being surprised...).

Jordan's youngest sister was baptized the day before so it was a wonderful weekend full of all kinds of monumental moments for the Lysenko family. We were thrilled we were able to be a part of it!

We got to see Jordan's "puppy" Gus, puppy being a relative term...

Our flight arrived Saturday morning around 5:30 New York time which meant we were in desperate need of caffeine all day. We got our fix as well as about 5 1/2 naps that day. We were zombies. Zombies I tell you!

We had a wonderful 48 hours and basically didn't want to come back.
Two more months...two more months...

Asleep before the plane had taken off :)

As wonderful as our trip was, we were incredibly excited to see our Elliott again.
My sister watched him for us over the weekend and apparently he was a rebellious little monster... We told ourselves it was because he missed us so much. In reality, he was probably just partying til the enforcers got back home. Whatever. We missed him anyways.
