Another part of our trip to New Mexico included a tour of Carlsbad Caverns. (In case you're wondering, yes, I will probably still be blogging about Christmas until February. Moving on.) If you've never been to Carlsbad Caverns, schedule a trip to New Mexico stat. It's one thing for people to tell you how massive and breathtaking the caves are, but it's another to experience it yourself. It gave me such an appreciation for the unexpected beauty found beneath the earth's surface. On a related note, I'm also finally giving into the fact that the desert has its own kind of beauty. It's not a complete wasteland ;) These photos were taken outside of the caves, but I'm pretty sure you already figured that part out on your own...
