One thing that I love about my family is that my dad always made it a priority growing up to travel around the country. We took roadtrips everywhere and as a result, we saw a lot of pretty cool places. This vacation home included a trip down to Ruidoso, New Mexico for a few days after Christmas. We stayed in cabins and took day trips to White Sands National Monument and Carlsbad Caverns. I've never even heard of White Sands before this trip and oh my goodness, it was amazing. Amazing and fun. It's basically acres and acres of white sand dunes that you can sled down and run around in. So much better than snow ;) We had such a great time and I'm already itching to go back!

One of our favorite moments of the day: Rachel planting her feet while Aaron leaps without her. Many jokes were made about the metaphorical implications of this action. Love you Rachel :)
My brother Ryan and his family came down with us. It was so fun having my niece and nephews playing around in the sand with us. Even little Eli loved sledding down the hills!
