Last night Jordan and I met up after work, grabbed some Chipotle (duh), and trekked over to Brooklyn where we had tickets to see the taping of NPR's radio show, Ask Me Another. We were invited by a couple of Jordan's old high school friends and it was the perfect place to meet and catch up on the last several years. The show was hosted by Ophira Eisenberg (what a name, huh?), who had us all rolling laughing after the first 5 minutes. It was fun to see what goes on behind the scenes and the kinds of things that get cut from the actual show (i.e. buzzer malfunctions, failed jokes, accidentally whispered curse words). It was also fun to feel at home again being in the company of so many hipsters. Brooklyn attract hipsters as it is, but throw NPR into the mix? It's a mess of beards, cardigans, and skinny jeans up in there. In other words, it felt like Provo.
This episode will air sometime in January so make sure to catch it and listen for my very deliberate coughing/sneezing/obnoxious laughter in the background. You'll know it's me, promise!
